Blood and Voice: Navajo Women Ceremonial Practitioners is an ethnography written by anthropologist Maureen Trudelle Schwarz that explores how Diné (Navajo) women navigate the complex, traditionally male-dominated world of ceremonial medicine. 

Published by the University of Arizona Press, the book challenges the widespread assumption that Navajo "singers" (hatáálii) or ritual specialists are exclusively men. Schwarz uses firsthand interviews with 17 female practitioners and 5 apprentices to demonstrate that women actively preserve these sacred traditions while balancing distinct cultural, physical, and familial expectations.
